Back, Neck and Shoulder or
Full Body Massage

Receiving a massage is a wonderful way to relieve stress and sore muscles.

Massage involves manipulating muscles, tendons, skin and ligaments. Massage has moved beyond the walls of your favourite spa to medical settings, such as clinics and hospitals and complementary therapy clinics and suites. A partial or full body massage offers multiple benefits, both physically and psychologically.

A massage reduces stress levels in most people. Massage may also help manage or reduce the symptoms of anxiety and depression. While no studies prove that massage reduces depression symptoms, some people with depression feel that their symptoms decrease after massage. Therapists and clients report that massage offers other benefits for your well-being, such as better sleep, increased energy, better concentration and less fatigue, as well as a super detoxification!

Hopi Ear Candling

The name for Hopi Ear Candles is taken from the Native American tribe of Hopi Indians who introduced this gentle therapy to the west. However it is an ancient and natural therapy handed down by many civilisations. It has been used by the Egyptians, Romans and Greeks. It is believed the ancient Greeks use ear candles, initially probably for

cleansing, purifying and healing on a spiritual basis, but much later on a physical basis. There are ancient wall paintings such as those found in the caves of the Grand Canyon showing the importance of ear candles in initiation rituals and healing ceremonies of the Hopi Indians.

How Hopi Ear Candles work

When the ear candle is placed in the ear and lit the slight sucking action referred to as the chimney effect draws any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed. The heat of the released, circulated vapours travel inside the ear gently massaging the ear drum, this is a similar action to sound waves. This action helps to regulate the pressure systems within the head including the sinuses. This may also help to soften the wax and draw it up to the surface. Most impurities or deposits carried away through the candle “chimney”, although some may be found in the lower section of the candle after removal from the ear. Some wax may even work its way to the surface 24-48 hours after a treatment, usually when taking a hot shower. It is for that reason that it is advisable to wait at least this length of time between treatments.

The circulation of the enriched vapours within the external ear, when reinforced by the face and neck massage, will form an overall holistic treatment. The combination of massage and heat along with the ingredients will soothe irritated areas, stimulate peripheral blood circulation, strengthen the immune system and lymph glands and stimulate energy points eg. on the external ear.

Chakra Checker

Our Chakras are energy centres within the body (and they correspond to the seven main glands). They are wheels of colour and spin all the time. They all need to be working properly and spinning in the right direction for the body to be balanced and functioning on all levels. Trained Reiki practitioners can check that your Chakras are functioning properly. If any are unbalanced you will be given a chart to show what you can do to restore functionality and/or advise you to have a Reiki treatment.

Reiki and/or Rahanni Healing

Reiki and/or Rahanni healing are holistic therapies used for healing, stress relief and relaxation. Meaning "Universal Energy" Reiki was first developed in Japan approximately 100 years ago and is used globally, including at some leading hospitals, and can safely complement medical treatment. Using the body’s own energy, Reiki identifies areas that need healing. This includes physical, emotional, spiritual and mental healing. Reiki is safe and non-intrusive and can be used to help the following, anxiety and depression, relief from pain, general well-being, including during long-term or chronic illnesses, relaxation during cancer treatment, relief from situational stress including work and exam-related pressure, relief from pain and worry before and after operations and is calming for children and animals and during pregnancy.

Rahanni, 'of one heart', is healing for the mind, body and soul. There is no separation, we are from one divine energy source. Rahanni helps restore balance, release our fears and any negative energy that we accumulate from our experiences on this earth.

Rahanni is a beautiful, powerful healing. Rahanni is not based on one religion, it is our natural essence, bringing balance to our mind and body. Rahanni is Accredited by the IPHM.

Reflexology/Advanced Reflexology (cancer, pregnancy, infertility)

Reflexology, also known as zone therapy, is a holistic therapy involving application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body.

The underlying theory behind reflexology is that there are certain points or "reflex areas" on the feet and hands that are connected energetically to specific organs and body parts through energy channels in the body. By applying pressure to reflex areas, a reflexologist is said to remove energy blockages and promote health in the related body area.

The roots of reflexology go back to ancient Egypt and China and pressure on the reflex points also helps to balance the nervous system and stimulates the release of endorphins that help to reduce pain and stress. Other benefits include relief from:

  • Stress and stress-related conditions

  • Tension headaches and migraines

  • Digestive disorders

  • Arthritis

  • Insomnia

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Sports injuries

  • Menstrual disorders, such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS)

  • Digestive problems, such as constipation

  • Multiple sclerosis

  • Back pain

  • Reflexology is also used for post-operative or palliative care. A 2015 review published in Integrative Cancer Therapies found that massage was effective for the relief of cancer pain, especially for surgery-related pain.
